Leaving No One Behind
We are a private operating foundation (501(c)(3)) registered in New York State. Our mission is to contribute to the betterment of people in need by providing basic needs assistance, such as food, water, shelter, and medical aid, without geographical limitations. While our primary focus is on local actions, these initiatives are designed to be scalable and replicable at the international level when relevant.
Our Story
In September 2020, Chris Federspiel, founder and CEO of Blackthorn.io, started the Federspiel Foundation.
Wanting to help society, he combined his experiences with those of his wife, Sophie, who had worked in humanitarian work and the United Nations. Together, they aimed to build a small but impactful organization to help people in need, by empowering them for a better future.
For the Federspiel Foundation, giving back is more than an obligation, it's a human endeavor too often forgotten in our fast-paced, individualistic world.
